A voice of visitor Hi, just a short note to say what an enjoyable stay we had with you in Istanbul. The room was cosy, bathroom, really good, breakfasts great and the lovely courtyard, PLUS the very welcoming attitude of you and your family. Say hi to your Sister in Law (I think that's who she was, the lovely lady who did all that cleaning, ALL THE TIME, in the kitchen. My cousin has your details and will also be staying with you when she has a date ready for her holiday. Thank you once again. We contact Le Routard to give news and real information about Your Hotel. Yesterday my wife forgot into the number 6 room her special mirror on the window of the balcony's door. Please can you send to us in good protection because it is an expensive mirror spécial for Make Up when you have bad vision. It was in a perfect location, our room with the little balcony was very nice, the breakfasts were delicious in your pretty little garden, it was excellent value for money and everyone at Bonjour was so friendly, smiling and helpful. Thank you for all your personal help in making our first visit to Istanbul so fantastic. We hope to come back! Best wishes Diana (and Dibs) PS Maybe you have heard that we had a 'blow out' puncture on our way with our shuttle taxi to SAW airport. The driver was very professional and safely managed to pull in to the side of the motorway, but we were still 5 minutes drive away from the airport (!), so it was quite worrying that we would miss our flight. Luckily Istanbul is not only the City of Culture for 2010, but the city of Culture and KINDNESS. We felt the only solution was to try and 'hitch' a lift from another car - the very first driver to stop was fantastic, so kind, and drove us (and 2 of the Italian passengers in the taxi) directly the airport terminal - dropping us off with a smile! We arrived in time for our flight to London and we were all very grateful to him! WE LOVE ISTANBUL!!!!! 24/05/2010 --------------------------------------------------------- Hi there, Julie and I stayed at Bonjour guesthouse on Sunday 18th and Monday 19th of April while we were stranded due to the Volcanic ash issue. We would like to thank you for you hospitality during this stressful time. You were caring and helpful which was reassuring. We eventually made it back to London on Wednesday after a plane to Paris, taxi to Calais, ferry to Dover and bus to London. An epic journey!! Thank you once again, and we might even see you next year around ANZAC day. You can use them for the web site if you want to. Also, I will go to the Travelocity web site and post some comments. I have not really started to go through all of the photos yet; I will be happy to send you some photos of the area around the Guest House if you want them. It may be a few weeks before I get all of that done. Next year we want to take a cruise of the Greek Islands. It starts in Athens and ends in Istanbul, so there is a possibility that we may spend one final night in Istanbul. If we do stay, we will get in touch with you. It will only be for one night, in September. We would like to see you again. Thank you for helping to make our trip so enjoyable. Al Urik --------------------------------------------------------- I stayed at a suite room of the second floor. A shower, a lavatory, television stuck to a private room, and it was very clean, and a bed was very comfortable, too. Specifically, the owner at the hotel was very friendly and was graceful. I found the place where I could be relieved at for a Japanese in slightly uneasy Turkey. I recommend this guest house to Japanese people and people coming from world various countries. Breakfast is very delicious, too (From JAPAN)
